I was offered an extensive breakfast with Portuguese pastries. The location was great and awesome, at a short distance from a double-deck metal arch bridge. Further, it was very close to major attractions and restaurants.

The breakfast is extensive. the location is marvelous, right by major attractions including Port cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, a 20-minute bus ride to the beach, seafood market/restaurants, and the river. - the staff is incredible and offers wake-up calls and ironing free of charge. - Always a memorable experience, I would definitely return.

We had a fantastic stay at Se Catedral Hotel Porto! the staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. They even arranged a special birthday surprise for my husband, with a bottle of port and cake delivered to our room. the location was perfect for exploring Porto, with easy access to the Duoro and Sao Bento metro. the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

We picked this hotel for its prime location. the hotel was right in the very centre of old town, near Sao Bento station and down to the river. It was just a short walk to any excellent restaurant and everything we wanted to see and do. the rooms were nicely decorated but the design felt a bit odd with the bathroom elements , toilet, sink and shower , in separate places. the breakfast was delicious and it was served in an elegant dining hall.
The hotel had some areas that needed attention and the finishing was not quite finished. For example, there was no hanging rail in the wardrobe and we had to improvise with a separate free, standing rail.

Location was great as it was within walking distance to tourist spots and train station. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good with enough variety.
Water temperature was inconsistent, sometimes there was no hot water. The room was poorly lit and the shower light flickered.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
